It is the responsibility of each badge holder to maintain a current airport-issued identification badge. Your badge must be renewed before the badge expires. All badge renewals will require an appointment and badges can be renewed up to 30 days before expiration, which is generally your birthday. If your badge becomes expired for more than 30 days, you will have to go through the entire fingerprinting process again.
For your appointment, please bring with you the following completed forms:
The Badge Application Form will not be accepted unless it is signed by your Authorized Signer.
You will also need to provide in the Badging Office your two forms of ID from the
List of Acceptable Documents. Copies are not accepted.
If you are renewing a Sterile Area (white) or AOA badge (red), there is no computer security training necessary – only a Security Brief, which will be initialed and signed in the ABO. For Secured/SIDA badges (gold and blue), and anyone who drives, training is taken via the IET (Interactive Employee Training) computers. There are SIDA, Non-Movement Area Driving and Movement Area Driving components. Please allow about one hour for SIDA training and 30 minutes for each driving training component. Once your training or security briefs are successfully completed, the new badge is issued.
All identification badges issued by the Pensacola Gulf Coast Regional Airport are the property of the Airport and must be returned immediately under the following conditions:
All badges that are lost, stolen or otherwise unaccounted for must be reported immediately to the Airport Operations Center (AOC) at (850) 436-5000.
Please fill out the Key Request form and return it to the ABO.
If you have not already done so, please contact the AOC to advise of the employee’s separation. In addition, please fill out the Termination Notification form and return it to the ABO.
If you have not done so already, call the AOC immediately at (850) 436-5000 to make your notification. In addition, please fill out the Lost/Stolen Badge or Key form and return it to the ABO.
The following information will introduce your company to the badging procedures at the Pensacola Gulf Coast Regional Airport. To begin, if your company does not have a current operating agreement with the Pensacola Gulf Coast Regional Airport, please contact the Properties Department at (850) 436-5000 to have your “Authorization to Badge form” completed. The Properties Department will obtain all the necessary information from you and the completed form will be submitted to Airport Operations.
Next, the Authorized Signature Letter form must be completed. This form includes one Primary Authorized Signer and one Alternate Authorized Signer who are authorized to sign both the Badge Application Form (Secured/SIDA, Sterile and AOA) and the Termination Notification form. The ABO will only accept this form with one or two signatories. Additional signatories are not permitted. Additionally, this form requires both a printed name and a signature on the form. All employees listed on the Authorized Signature Letter form must obtain an airport-issued identification badge (see "I need to apply for a badge") by completing a Criminal History Record Check (CHRC), Security Threat Assessment (STA), SIDA Training and the Authorized Signer Training.
Third, the Airport Security Coordinator will complete the “Letter of Access Agreement (LOAA)” which establishes procedures to control access to the air operations area, outlines your company’s access points and indicates your company’s responsibilities. Your company’s owner, management or someone who is authorized to sign legal documents on their behalf will read and sign the LOAA. The “Letter of Access Agreement” with original signatures must be returned to the Airport Badging Office. Your company may make a copy for their own records prior to returning the document to Airport personnel.
The two Authorized Signers for your company must then complete the “Authorized Signer Training form.” This form must be obtained from the Airport Badging Office and must be signed by the Primary and Alternate Authorized Signers. The Authorized Signer Training will communicate the signatory’s responsibilities and duties and requires all signatories to certify they have completed and understand the training. The Authorized Signer Training is required annually.
Please download the Authorization to Badge form and submit it to the Operations Department. For an electronic version, please email Annmarie Greer (agreer@ci.pensacola.fl.us).
Applying for a new badge is a two-appointment process with the Airport Badging Office. For your first appointment, please bring with you the following completed forms:
(Please ensure you have the correct form. If you have questions, please contact your Authorized Signer.)
The Badge Application Form will not be accepted unless it is signed by your Authorized Signer.
You will also need to provide in the Badging Office your two forms of ID from the
List of Acceptable Documents. Copies are not accepted.
The Fingerprint / STA Application must be completed in its entirety. The Citizenship Country and State and Country of Birth fields are mandatory. Additionally, if you meet one of the following three conditions listed in the grayed highlighted areas on the Fingerprint / STA Application, you must provide those identifications used to complete the Fingerprint / STA Application. The three conditions are:
1. You are not a U.S. citizen
2. You hold a non-immigrant visa
3. You are a U.S. citizen born abroad or a naturalized U.S. citizen
All badge applicants will be fingerprinted unless:
The paperwork and fingerprinting process constitute the first appointment. The Criminal History Records Check (CHRC) and STA (Security Threat Assessment) clearance must occur before the individual proceeds any further in the process. Please note these checks/clearances can take up to two weeks.
Seven to ten (7 – 10) business days after your initial appointment, please contact the ABO at (850) 436-5113 to inquire about your clearances. If all required information has been received, your second appointment will be made for you to take your training. If you are applying for a Sterile Area (white) or AOA (red) badge, there is no computer security training necessary – only a Security Brief, which will be initialed and signed in the ABO.
