PNS welcomes private pilots, charter operators, and aviation businesses to one of the Gulf Coast's most accessible and well-equipped general aviation facilities.

Public Use & Access
General Aviation Access
As a federally grant-assisted public airport, PNS is open to all types of aeronautical activity — from commercial and general aviation to government aircraft. Prior permission is required for non-scheduled operations.
Fixed Base Operator
A commercial operator located at an airport that is required to provide a variety of aeronautical services such as aircraft fueling, flight training, aircraft charter, aircraft maintenance, etc. Pensacola Aviation Center and Innisfree Jet Center provides these services.
Specialized Aviation Service Operators
A commercial operator located at an airport that only provides limited aeronautical services such as flight training or aircraft maintenance.

Aviation Discovery Park
Community & Aviation
The General Daniel “Chappie” James Jr. Aviation Discovery Park Project in Pensacola was undertaken by Pensacola Area Flight Watch, an organization dedicated to the interests of General Aviation, and the promotion of aviation among our youth. The park opened to the public in 2006.
Aviation Discovery Park Project is a part of the City of Pensacola Parks and Recreation department.
