International Arrivals at PNS
International Aviation
PNS is an authorized U.S. Customs and Border Protection landing rights airport, serving international arrivals from the Bahamas, Mexico, Canada, and other foreign countries. Prior coordination is required - here's what you need to know before you fly in.
Landing Rights & CBP Requirements
Pensacola International Airport is a "landing rights" airport as outlined in 19 CFR 122.14 with U.S. Customs and Border Protection, allowing operators of international flights to clear Customs at the facility provided certain requirements are complied with. These requirements can be found at www.cbp.gov under "Private Aircraft Reporting Requirements for Arriving or Departing United States."
Advance Notice & Overflight Exemptions
Contact must be made with U.S. Customs and Border Protection in Pensacola to receive landing rights and to coordinate the estimated arrival time. Additionally, if arriving from areas south of the United States such as Mexico or the Bahamas, aircraft operators must have a valid overflight exemption on file with U.S. Customs and Border Protection in addition to receiving landing rights. Be advised, there are advance notice requirements for overflight exemptions and for landing rights requests and these must be adhered to. Any request for after hours services, to include weekend and holidays, must be made before 4:00 pm on the Friday before the service is needed.
Clearing Customs at PNS
The General Aviation Facility at Pensacola International Airport can clear US citizens returning to the United States as well as foreign nationals traveling with acceptable entry documents. Aircrew, passenger, and aircraft needs may be accommodated through one of the two FBOs located on the field.
